WILD HORSE & BURRO PROTECTION BILL

(Update) NOTICE: HEARING DATE CHANGED

The CA AJR 5 hearing originally set for April 22nd was postponed to to June. The new date should be available in mid-May. This allows more time for individuals and organizations to show your support. Calls and letters of support are needed.

This measure urges the federal government to immediately declare a moratorium on all further wild horse and burro roundups and would urge the United States Bureau of Land Management and the United States Forest Service to restore the wild horses and burros of California to their legal areas throughout the state.

This resolution will soon be heard by the CA State Assembly Committee on Water, Parks & Wildlife. Comments/ letters are only accepted online for this hearing by the CA legislature. Submissions are currently open.
